Marquee Submits Rezoning Application
Landmark Hilton Hotel Across From VGH
Marquee is pleased to announce the submission of a rezoning application for 2777 Oak Street, a design-led, dual branded hotel that will introduce a new standard of hospitality to Vancouver’s Broadway Corridor.
Located at the corner of Oak and West 12th Avenue, the proposed development is uniquely positioned within one of Vancouver’s most connected and amenity-rich neighbourhoods. The site is steps from Vancouver General Hospital and in proximity to BC Women’s Hospital & Health Centre and BC Children’s Hospital, making it ideally suited to serve the city’s healthcare community.

The location also offers direct access to some of Vancouver’s most visited destinations including Granville Island, False Creek, Fairview and Kitsilano Beach, providing guests with a seamless connection to both the city’s natural amenities and cultural attractions.
“Our goal is to create spaces that integrate seamlessly into the city and deliver lasting value for both the community and our partners.”
The Vision
The proposal envisions a 25-storey tower with over 300 rooms, including a curated mix of traditional hotel accommodations and extended stay suites. A carefully designed 6-storey podium will anchor the building with active, street-oriented commercial uses that contribute to a vibrant and engaging public realm.

The project has been conceived to align with the City of Vancouver’s Broadway Plan, supporting transit-oriented growth while reinforcing the Oak Street corridor as a key destination for healthcare, employment and innovation. The future Oak-VGH Skytrain station will further enhance connectivity across the region.
With its proximity to major hospitals and key tourist designations, the hotel is positioned to serve a diverse range of guests – from medical professionals and families to leisure and business travellers – while strengthening Vancouver’s overall hotel supply in a high-demand area.
